Start with seven skill-less dwarves and a pick. Pick any region that isn't "calm." Somehow kill off six dwarves and try to survive until you get your first wave of immigrants. See if you can keep all of them fed, as well.

I guess additional food and booze could be added if it's too hard.

Leerok the Lacerta's Fortress

I recently was pointed to this fortress, and I, after finally finding someplace to throw my big image files, have put it on the interwebz for you. The bottom link has some notes written (typed?) in by me, so new players can tell what everything is, and attempt to learn from these thousands of tiny symbols.

Compiled Mods

I've compiled all of the new monsters (except the fallout ones), all of the new livestock, all of the new plants, and all of the new food items from the Wiki (as of the date of this post) into one file. Download it and unpack it into your Dwarf Fortress folder. It should replace the old raw folder. You will need to make a new world to see any of these, and I didn't make any of them civilizations. The compiled mod will be updated frequently.

Hello, everyone! This is the unofficial Dwarf Fortress blog. I, Lord Blue, will be compiling all of the best news, updates, tips, stories, images, worlds, tutorials, game saves, and links here, for you, the DF community. Now, I need your help.
